An Eye On Opponents – Albania (1) Iran (0)

Few after defeating Qatar 2-1 in Madrid, Albania pulled another surprise in the Turkish city of Istanbul with a 1-0 victory over Iran on Sunday.

Emiljano Vila scored “The Eagles” winner in the 60th minute with a beautiful strike from just outside the area.

Iran is set to face Qatar in Tehran on June 12th in day three of the final round of Asia’s 2014 World Cup. Qualifiers

An Eye On Opponents – Oman (1) Lebanon (1)



Lebanon impressed in their final friendly before facing Qatar on June 3rd in the opening day of the Asia’s final round of the 2014 World Cup Qualifiers. They pulled a deserved 1-1 draw against Oman in Muscat on Sunday.

Mohamed Ghaddar, who plays his football in Malaysia with Kelantan FA, gave the visitors the lead in the 23rd minute with a powerful header after a perfect cross from the left hand side by Zakaria Charara.

Omani League top scorer Waleed Ibrahim equalized nine minutes into the second half. The Swaiq striker was in the right place to followed up a ball blocked by Lebanon goalkeeper Ziad Al Samad.
