Transfer Gossip: Ranieri is coming to Qatar

Veteran Italian coach Claudio Ranieri is considering an offer from a Qatari club, according to Italian media today.

His lawyer Giuseppe Bozzo is evaluating a “good” offer from a club in Qatar and will make a decision in the coming few hours, said “Gazzetta Dello Sport”.

In an interview published a couple of days ago in “Corriere Dello Sport” The 60-year old former Inter, Juventus, Roma Valencia & Chelsea coach confirmed being approached by clubs in Qatar and UAE, but he said that he would prefer to stay in Europe if he get the right offer.

Ranieri was sacked by Inter Milan two months ago due to poor results.

Ranieri’s name has also been circulating in the British media which claims that he is close on signing for the Premier League side West Bromwich Albion, to succeed new England coach Roy Hodgson.

Italian club Fiorentina were also hoping to sign Ranieri as the replacement to Delio Rossi who was sacked recently after a scuffle with Serbian player Adam Ljiajic during a Serie A match.

There are currently a number of vacant coaching positions in a number of QSL clubs including Al Sadd & Al Jaish.
