Qatari international Hussein Yasser played one of his matches since joining Zamalek, leading the Cairo club to a 1-0 win over Army Club in the Egyptian League.
Zamalek are now second in the league table seven points from Al Ahly, and only on goal difference from third-placed Al Ismaily.
Egyptian international defender Mahmoud Fathallah scored the only goal of the match in the 58th minute, but Yasser was the best man on the field creating chances for his team mates and scoring a goal that was canceled for offside, he later won the man of the match award.
Yasser joined Zamalek during the winter break after around 18 months with Al Ahly, in which he spent much of his time on the bench. The former Boavista midfielder is keen on getting more regular starting opportunities to strengthen his bid for a place in Qatar squad for the 2011 Asian Cup Finals.
